- Virginia Human Rights Act – claims based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, age, marital status, or disability and claims of harassment
- Virginia Payment of Wage Law – claims based on unpaid wages, whether backpay or overtime
- Virginia Minimum Wage Act – claims based on minimum wage violations
- Virginia Right-to-Work Law – claims based on an employer conditioning employment on an employee paying union dues, or denying work to an employee on the basis of the said employee’s membership or non-membership in a labor union
- Virginia Equal Pay Irrespective of Sex Law– claims based on discrimination in pay based on gender
